Malaysia has been pioneering the development of halal parks for halal industries and services, supported by financial incentives from the Malaysian Government. Sea ports, airports, and inland terminals are important links in global halal supply chains, but a MISSING LINK when it comes to halal! Halal compliance and certification of port terminals are important to (1) avoid breakage of halal supply chains, (2) better address risk & reputation management for cargo owners + shipping lines + (sea/air/inland) ports, and (3) avoid fraud with halal logos.   In a halal compliant terminal (sea, air or inland terminal) halal goods are segregated from non-halal goods throughout the terminal process.
